Third Seat on ‘Next Iron Chef’ Panel Reserved for Simon Majumdar

RMG client Simon Majumdar takes his culinary criticisms to the Food Network, where he will appear as a judge on the third season of “Next Iron Chef”, premiering on Sunday, October 3rd at 9/8c.

In Next Iron Chef, hosted by Alton Brown, ten chefs will travel from Los Angeles to Los Vegas and finally New York, preparing dishes that will earn one of them the Iron Chef title. Contestants will be eliminated along the way, leaving two chefs that will compete in the Kitchen Stadium for the final round on Sunday, November 21st at 9/8c.   Simon Majumdar critiques alongside fellow judges Donatella Arpaia, restaurateur and food expert, and Michael Symon, Iron Chief winner and restaurateur.

Simon_MSimon Majumdar has become an influential voice for the culinary arts. His love of food took him to several countries around the world, where he found the inspiration to write his best-selling memoir, Eat My Globe, and his most recent book, Eating for Britain. He’s also the co-author of “Dos Hermanos,” an internationally well known food website.

Scoundrels to Premiere This Sunday, 9/8c

RMG Client David James Elliott stars alongside Virginia Madsen in ABC’s big Sunday premiere.  Scoundrels tells the story of the Wests, who are forced to change their lifestyle after the man of the house gets sent to the big house. Cheryl, loving mother and devoted wife, will do everything she can to keep her family together and on the straight and narrow.

Elliott plays the patriarch of the West family – Wolfgang “Wolf” West, Madsen as Cheryl West, Patrick Flueger as Logan West/Calvin “Cal” West, Leven Rambin as Heather West, Vanessa Marano as Hope West and Carlos Bernard as Sergeant Mack.

Bonnie & Clyde Headed to Broadway, Stopover in Sarasota

bon4The new Frank Wildhorn musical Bonnie & Clyde, which premiered at La Jolla Playhouse in 2009, will be seen at Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, FL, in November, prior to Broadway.

The musical about the Depression-era American outlaws has music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel), lyrics by Tony Award winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard, Song and Dance), book by RMG’s own Ivan Menchell (The Cemetery Club, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and direction and musical staging by Jeff Calhoun (Deaf West’s Big River, Broadway’s Grease!).

Duke Straub’s Half Pint Brawlers to Air on Spike

RMG client Duke Straub (Solitary) is producing a new reality show for Spike TV, called Half Pint Brawlers.  Half Pint Brawlers is a six episode series that follows a hectic traveling troupe of little person wrestlers as they bring their show all around the United States, led by their affable leader, Puppet “the psycho Dwarf.”

HPB1The pick up of Half Pint Brawlers has garnered much attention, particularly from the Hollywood Reporter and Variety. In addition to Straub, Half Pint Brawlers is being produced by Darryl Silver (The Apprentice), Stephen David (the Apprentice, Big Medicine), Royal Malloy, Jeff Guerriero and Trip Taylor (Jackass, Nitro Circus, and Wildboyz).
